Supporting you today, tomorrow and beyond…
The sudden death of a loved on will often prompt us to take a closer look at our own affairs to ensure that they are in order to minimise stress for our immediate loved ones.
Writing a Will
Organising a loved one’s affairs following their death is emotionally quite daunting for many, but this can be made even more so without the help of a Will clearly explaining their wishes.
A Will can cover many matters, including what you would like for your funeral; burial or cremation?
It will state what you would like to happen to your estate.
This will consist of:
Any property that you have, less any outstanding mortgage or other loans secured on it.
All cash and savings together with your vehicles, household and personal effects
Any money received from any life assurance policies and pensions, where there isn't a named beneficiary or plans are not written in trust less any outstanding loans, credit card balances and household bills.
Recording your wishes
A Will is simply a written document that outlines all your personal wishes.
However remember it is a legal document and with that in mind it is always better to seek professional advice so that you fully understand all the consequences that can arise from your wishes being met.
We at Personal Touch will offer support and advice regarding this area and can introduce you to professionals, both individuals and organisations with years of expertise in this field.
